Cemetery Trustee Meeting
January 31, 2019 – 5:30 p.m.
Present: David Pinckney, Mark McIntosh, Linda Fisher (trustees)
Old Business
- Perry Brothers invoice is yet unpaid even though checks were received and forwarded. Linda to follow up.
Continuing Business
- Several unsold/available lots in both Leavitt and Pineground Cemeteries with no numbered markers to correspond with the numbers on the cemetery lot maps.
- Committee will visit both cemeteries in the spring to evaluate and determine the next step.
- David will contact a citizen with surveying experience to advise with the process of identifying correct location of lots.
New Business
- Mark McIntosh has agreed to run for a second term as Cemetery Trustee.
- David reached out to family member of Hook Cemetery and offered to have the committee organize volunteers to do a spring cleanup. Will contact again prior to any action.
- Family member mentioned the possibility that the cemetery was deeded to the town in the early 1900’s.
- Leslie Ari and Tammy Jameson have both resigned their positions as alternate trustees.
- The committee agreed Donna Chagnon’s name will be submitted to Selectman as possible alternate trustee. Mark to notify the Selectman’s office.
